一. Selection of Adhesive Interlinings  
1. The fusible interlinings are divided into non-woven, woven, and knitted types. The non-woven fusible interlinings have the advantages of no wrinkles, stable size, and no shrinkage after washing. The woven fusible interlinings are firmly attached to the fabric, and the ones with loose texture are softer, while the ones with tight texture are more durable. They can be selected according to needs. The knitted fusible interlinings are elastic and drape well, and can be used for knitted fabrics or sewing soft fabrics.  

2. The common colors of fusible interlinings are white, light gray, medium gray, dark gray, and black. In autumn and winter, dark-colored fabrics should choose dark-colored fusible interlinings according to the production needs, or they can also choose light-colored fusible interlinings. However, in summer for thin fabrics, the fusible interlinings should be chosen in the same color as the fabric.

1. It can be firmly bonded to the fabric, resulting in a soft and sturdy feel with good resilience and rebound.

2. The bonding temperature is lower, shrinkage can be coordinated with the fabric.

3. When cutting, the interlining does not stick to each other or the cutting knife.

4. It does not damage the fabric's biological properties, such as breathability and thermal permeability.  

三. Use of Adhesive Interlinings  
The fusible interlining must be tested for the three factors of auxiliary materials, fabrics, and machines before use.  

1. It is extremely important for the fabric and interlining to be bonded as one unit to maintain consistent dimensional stability. Therefore, when using woven adhesive interlinings, it is most important that the fabric and interlining threads match and run in the same direction, regardless of the bonding location.  

2. When determining the shrinkage rate of the adhesive interlining, it is essential to conduct the adhesive test under normal conditions. From a technical standpoint, even if the shrinkage rate of the adhesive interlining itself is determined, it is not necessarily able to achieve a match with the fabric; because the shrinkage rate of different fabrics and the finishing of the fabric are not consistent, only when the adhesive interlining is bonded to the fabric can the shrinkage rate be determined, and accurate and reliable data can be obtained.  

3) The fusible interlining comes in two types: manual and machine. The machine-type is further divided into conveyor-belt type and flat-press type.
